Located in Berlin, a commercial building known as the JIGI Poke restaurant comes as a minimalist restaurant where exoticism is formed in an intimate but relaxed space. Designed by Vaust Studio, this 12-square-meter restaurant is dominated by a warm palette of colors and materials to create a natural and earthy atmosphere for the space.

Functionally, the JIGI Poke restaurant is divided into two areas with different functions. The first area accommodates a dining room with warm shades. The design was inspired by photographs of Hawaiian fishermen in the 1907s depicting a man sitting on a rock in simple clothes and fishing equipment. Meanwhile, the second area facilitates the cooking area with artistic stainless steel tables that adopt the concept of a traditional fish market.

"In this project, we value intimacy, balance, and honesty." Vaust Studio said.

Jigi Poke Restaurant applies this principle through two abstract concrete tables which are the main points in its interior. The nature of concrete is easy to form so that it can display a pleasant decorativeness on a concrete table. Complementing the concrete table, Vaust Studio combines granite stone chairs and log chairs that can invite guests to sit amid a warm cream color palette.

Vaust Studio depicts plaster floors and walls as blank canvases to highlight the natural nature of the furniture. Meanwhile, the linen curtains surrounding the dining area are intended to create an intimate atmosphere without the sense of "limiting." Finally, stainless steel combined with rough textured concrete sculptures adds aesthetics to the kitchen counter.

Jigi Poke restaurant features only a few elements of space décor. Not without reason, according to Vaust Studio, a bold interior does not need to apply the excessive decoration. But to show the identity of the restaurant, Vaust Studio displays a large stone hanging by the window. The boulder displayed in the front area seems to "invite" guests to visit and feel the unpretentious warm atmosphere of the JIGI Poke restaurant.
