The collaboration between Li Weimin, Qiu Deguang, and Wu Bin has been completed, and this is YANLORD TANG SONG. A project of reconstructing old buildings and adding new ones that connect contemporary concepts with history. The goal is to balance spatial levels, ancient history, and natural landscapes that create a rich, serene, and timeless experience. This house represents modern life while conveying the spirit of Jiangyin, which calls for physical bearers and spiritual essences to maintain the homeland and family to maintain a deep bond and always embrace history in welcoming the future.

Inspired by the "Zhu Family Ancestral Hall," this ancient monumental building is an important place for social interaction and connections between generations of families. Although built in the Qing Dynasty, YANLORD TANG SONG still stands tall because the structure is composed of official hall purlin beams that display an elegant impression. With a long historical background, it was a challenge for the design team to reconstruct and combine the old building with the new one.

In this project, the design team chose to make the courtyard the spatial axis of the "present" while the representation of the "past" appears in the background. This courtyard is called "Bihai Courtyard," taken from the title of one of Xu Xiake's poems. This name shows that the house stands as a "gift back" that embraces the heart of a traveler who enjoys the passage of time in tranquility.

In addition, the new building area has a courtyard containing green plants, which is interpreted as "Enjoying quality time with nature remains the soul of space". The overall design of the building integrates a space division that combines landscape and indoor, presenting natural scenery so that it blends into modern life.

The design team designed the inner space using natural materials to maintain the harmony of modern and traditional nuances. For example, raw stone and wood that display a traditional feel are polished and creatively arranged to display contemporary interpretations of the local culture. As a result, YANLORD TANG SONG is a pure expression of an ancient building involving an attitude toward its history.
