Located on a vacant lot by the lake close to Chiang Mai International Airport. Behind the simple form and concept lies various interesting architectural experiences in this studio. Along these lines, Sher Maker has a vision that pays specific attention to local construction technology and local materials.

This studio is built with old but decent materials such as wooden and steel frames. This can be done by diverse experimental potential with existing materials. Despite the final design, Shermaker is open to the fact that the design cannot be changed. They are open to continuously evolving design, responding to the wants and needs of users, and making the perfect atmosphere for the studio.

Consisting of 2 levels, the studio functions as an office, material testing, and furniture-making workshop. The gable roof that extends to almost touching the ground has 2 functions, which are restricting the outside view to inside activities and focusing at the central courtyard view that becomes the studio's center.

Using brick from the neighborhood kiln and construction gravel blends the boundary between the existing floor and the new floor. The existing condition of the lot, which has many big acacia trees lined up, doesn't make Sher Maker put aside the principle of how origins of architecture form in the context of local technology and materials while giving space for acacia trees to keep on growing upwards between the studio's spaces.

Semi-opened concepts used by the studio affect the whole ambiance of the workspaces that are not fixed by office cubicles. Working with the natural breeze, falling leaves, and birds chirping may be the dream office environment for many people or a bucket list for some people, and that whole thing can be achieved in Sher Maker Studio.
